There had to be time when Archaic man, of 10,000 BP and the many millennium after, would be replaced by the modern Indian. While generally there would be a common bond, the two peoples were far from related, at least in the ways they either lived or communicated. The onset of a social or community form of existence, would also make for vast changes in their cave art. But, this cave art is no less expressive of man and his life that those we see from thousands of years earlier. Only now it is the bow and arrow, the horse and white man. While this plate is not of the typical Lower Pecos Cave Art, it does need to be considered. It offers us the time line we need, to grasp that man of the earlier era is gone, a new people have replaced him.
