Plant parts used as food and their preparation

* Many on this list also used as Medicinal or Narcotic

++++

Please a few words. This listing by the University of Texas A.M. is very informative. But, if it uses the data gathered from modern American Indians, it can only be called theory when referring to early man.

The only facts as to food at the Zueberbueler shelter is from bones and seeds and related plant parts noted. As to their use we have no answers.

But the archaic period at the site, has demonstrated it was a time of new ideas. Food had to be number one. As for medicinal use that would be all speculation.
